Here are some guides and videos to our most popular resources. The top tips guides are written by the Medical Library, the database guides and videos are produced by the databases. We also have a YouTube channel where we curate lists of tutorial videos to help with your research and studies.
The University of Cambridge has a collection of short videos on all aspects of research skills, including literature searching, top tips for searching Google more effectively, publishing journal articles, open access, impact and metrics, and more. These videos are available for everyone — no login is required to view them.
If you would like more detailed help we run group training and one-to-one information clinics.
Health Education England also provides additional guides on database searching and tips for specific resources, which can be accessed here on the Knowledge for Healthcare website. These are aimed at NHS staff. Their literature search protocols may be of particular use.
